Indo-Chinese Manchurian Home Recipe

Preparing a delicious Manchurian (Gobi / Paneer / Chicken / potato etc.)

The Ingredients are meant to create a portion serving 2, scale as needed.

Ingredients Quantity

Gobi (Cauliflower) OR

Paneer (cottage cheese) OR

Chicken (few boneless pieces)

One bowl
Garlic 2 pods (small slices)
Onion 1 medium (long slices, thinner the better)
Coriander Leaves Few stems
Asafoetida Powder Half a teaspoon
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon
Gram/Besan Flour 1 cup
Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Pepper powder To taste
Curd half a cup
Turmeric Powder half a teaspoon
Cooking Oil Half a litre
Hot & Sweet Tomato Sauce as required
Chilli Sauce as required
Soya sauce if needed

1. Cook the Gobi/Potato/Chicken in water with Turmeric Powder (note: turmeric powder is a good purifier of most foods) until they are cooked. If you are using Paneer, shallow fry small cubes on a pan till the cubes become hard.

2. Marinate the Gobi/Chicken/Paneer/Potato in a mix of curd, ginger-garlic paste, salt and Red chilli powder (taste to determine how much chilli powder / salt is needed) for atleast 30 mins. Longer the marination, better the taste wink.

3. Mix the marinated items with Gram/Besan flour to make it into a paste & deep fry this in oil (kinda becomes like a Bhajji).

4. Set aside for it to cool down.

5. In a bowl. prepare a magic concoction of Hot & Sweet Sauce, Chilli sauce, pepper powder & Water to make it into a tangy liquid.
