A great annual spectacle is the Festival Of India Feature which showcases the grandoise of the great land of India! It is a 3 day event that has a set of activities and performances, and is meant to be inclusive to the larger Ottawa community. 

The event for 2017 is scheduled between 11-Aug-2017 and 13-Aug-2017. Do check out their website (http://festivalofindiaottawa.org/) to get your tickets (you get a discount when bought well ahead of time).

Kannada Sangha Ottawa

An association from the Vibrant state of Karnataka, India (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnataka) is the Kannada Sangha of Ottawa. They hold 4 events through the year - 

1. Ugadi (New Year) in April (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugadi)

2. A Picnic in July

3. Ganesha Pooja in September (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesh_Chaturthi)

4. Diwali / Christmas in Nov/Dec (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diwali)

In 2016, they also hosted the first ever Yakshagana event (traditional theater - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakshagana) in Ottawa. The performers were the Yakshamitra troupe from Toronto (http://www.yakshamitra.com/) -

Ottawa Telugu Association

The Ottawa Telugu Association was formed in 1979 to help the Telugu (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telugu_language) Speaking community in Ottawa. Check out their website for event details and membership - http://www.ottawatelugu.com/ 

They are an active community who also schedule multiple events through the year
